SHILOH

        When I started reading the book SHILOH, I felt extremely sorry for one of the Judd Travers dog which was not treated well. I don't like when Judd Travers is showing cruelty over the dogs.I appreciate one of my neighbour who takes a real care for dogs. He plays with the dog, he feeds the dog at the right time and never keep the dog chained all the day long. People should treat not only dogs , but also other pets like small children. Animals are also living things. Even they need food and freedom. In my opinion ,  I think the book SHILOH is the right way to understand hoe dogs should be treated.

If I had to make two wishes .......

Shiloh

          I thought that everybody treats their pets well. But when I read this book, Shiloh it terrifies me how Judd Travers treats his dogs. He kicks them when they don’t listen to him and he keeps his dogs half fed.

                If I had to make two wishes… One would be that no one killed animals and treated their pets with cruelty. So that animals could have freedom and not be hit or even die by a hunter. The second one would be that everybody would be vegetarian and not eat meat so that there would be more animals in the world.

I love animals and I bet you do to. But I just don’t get why people do not respect them.I think that Shiloh is a good book, but Judd Travers always treats his dogs badly.

Shiloh is really good because why do you think marty wanted to save that dog? Why do you think  Shiloh followed Marty back to where he lived? If you want to try answering those questions you will have to read the book!!!

HUMAN CRUELTY TOWARDS ANIMALS

Cruelty towards animals is divided into two types.Cruelty   could be due to neglect or intentional  abuse.

Neglect means not taking proper care of pets e.g   not giving them food, shelter, water, medical care etc. Intentional abuse means hurting them purposely like kicking, torturing or even putting lots of birds in a small cage .

What I think is that troubling or torturing the animals  shows the inhumanity of the humans towards animals.

I feel very bad for the cruelty towards animals

I feel very bad for the cruelty towards animals, especially on the roads.

In India, horses, goats and elephants are used for transportations. If the riders want to go faster, they hit or kick them very hard with their sticks. On the way back from school, I see hundreds of sheep having a walk. Some walk fast and some walk slow but the owner hits the sheep at the back and forces to go faster. I agree with Marty when he said that some dogs just like to run. Same as dogs, all animals have their different ways to do things.

At the circus, when I cross the animal cages, owners were feeding them dried leaves. They just think that animals can eat anything since they’re not humans.

I don’t like the way some people care for animals but I appreciate the neighbour next to my door who has a dog. Everyday she takes the dog for a walk and play with the ball. I want everyone to treat animals like humans.

Shiloh is a nice book

I like Shiloh because it’s a touching novel , yet it has action. Shiloh is similar to some of the books I read.  If I made a chart Shiloh would be close to the top.  It’s a nice book in my opinion.  I support Marty that Judd Travvers was treating his dogs in the wrong way.

I always thought that people take care of their pets, but after I read Shiloh I realized that some people (Judd Travers) do not take care of their pets. In the story I realized that Judd Travers is cruel towards his dog, as he gives his dog less food and keeps the dog chained whole day. I also realized that Judd Travels' dog had ticks.

Shiloh is a great book to learn about how people can be cruel to animals.  I think that people should treat animals the way they treat a child. I would love to help animals the way Marty treated Shiloh. But I don’t have a dog and I don’t usually see dogs where I live. Marty was a very brave child who wanted to be a traveling vet so he could save animals that were sick. Maybe one day I will be a traveling vet!!!!!!

But for now I am stuck in fourth grade so I cannot be a traveling vet. I think Marty had a really good idea of saving that poor Shiloh.

I don’t like how they talk in the book but I like the action they have!!!
